Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A kind of machine which could carry loads which are about 30,000 pounds is a forklift. A forklift is also called a counterbalance. Despite being big and sturdy, these industrial machinery still bear the possible chance of crash or accident. In order to be very safe, be sure to have operators put on the correct seat belt inside the forklift and check that up to standard safety features are on board. We all know that seat belts can save lives in the event of an accident.
Three-Point Seat Belt
Three-point seat belts can extend over the lap and across the upper body. These types of belts provide an extra safety degree by protecting your body. They are available in both bucket-seat and bench-seat types. The 3-point seat belts are available in either non-retractable or retractable kinds.
Retractable seat belts are normally utilized in most modern vehicles on the market. While non-retractable types increase safety, retractable kinds provide more comfort. It is not possible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
The type of seat belt which only extends over the lower part of the body is a two-point lap belt. Most lap belts feature a push-button closure system and are non-retractable. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and then the two sides will separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The kind of seat belt that forces a forklift operator to put on a seat belt is a circuit-closed seat belt. These types of seat belts have a micro-switch attached that makes an alarm sound if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both non-retractable and retractable lap-band styles.
