Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pump trucks or pallet trucks, they are utilized to transport supplies and products around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight contains a pump that can lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is intended to be operated by one person.
To prevent loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated carefully. Equipment must be checked before operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make sure that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet must be stacked carefully in order to guarantee that nothing will fall off during transportation.
In order to release air in the pump and lower the forks, squeeze the lever located on the inside of the metal loop on the end of the pallet truck's handle. The forks can then be pushed into the slots of the pallet. The forks must be in the middle to be able to ensure even distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Raise the forks from the ground by pumping the pneumatic lift's handle until the pallet has fully cleared the ground. Do not lift the pallet too high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and then drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is not safe to push the pallet in front of you since the thrust could cause it to go out of control. Take turns slowly and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks would lower to the ground. Finally, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
